hennywayyss, the event was called "Salsa Contigo", launched in january. this was their second event, should bet there to be more to come. yayy. there were cuban djs playing, quite a crowded dance floor flooded with random mixture of people (from young to old, small to huge, thin to fat, white to black, and amateur to pro) showing off their salsa movess~!! it was really pretty. made me want to take up salsa "professionally". lol. but i know that will will disappear in probably less than a week. okay, back to the night, in between, there was a live show by a cuban salsa band, as well as lambada and salsa shows where some pros were effortlessly flaunting their crazy sexy stunts! i loikee.
i would guess szu and myself to be two of the very few around who do not do salsa as well as the rest. but some of em's friends were kind enough to mellow the moves down to suit us, had the courtesy to offer us a few dances, teaching us a few basic steps and moving slowly slightly towards apparently more professional moves..
everyone was dancing with everyone else, changing partners as often as the change of songs. they appeared to know each other very well through their smooth spinning and gliding, despite that being their first encounter. i had so much fun already by simply watching them~~
my main "guru" was the very tall big lloyd who himself holds salsa classes. dont know where though. he was really nice, and "mentor"ly i suppose. i was pretty much just salsa-ing with him half of the time.
szu and em
i had a REALLY good time, thank you em! i left after szu, before em, waited for about 15mins for N55, and realised i didnt have my keycard with me as i saw it approaching. thank god for far, and her being awake, i crashed at her place for the night. she had a 9.30am the next morning, but took me in nonetheless, so sweeet. thanx far!! u no i lev u. hihi.
